Gutter guards save you plenty of it. They're also a lot safer than climbing a ladder every fall to clean out your gutters.
Ice and water shield goes in the valleys of a roof, where water runs the heaviest. It's one of the most important layers for protecting your home from leaks.
Almost every roofing manufacturer recommends it. For this Sellersburg homeowner, following the manufacturer's recommendations is exactly how we built their new roof.

A condo with a great view. Who wouldn't want to start or end each day with a view like this? This is the family room of a condo we remodeled in Jeffersonville, Indiana, looking right out at the Ohio River.
With double sliding glass doors opening up to a screened porch, this was a fun project. We added a stone accent wall with a linear gas fireplace that can heat the entire condo.
It's a great place to entertain, and to watch the Belle of Louisville in the Great Steamboat Race on the Ohio River.
Creativity is what we do best. This room was wide open with no real purpose, other than an oversized, outdated wet bar.
We added walls to create an extra storage area and an additional bedroom with a wall-in closet, plus a stone accent wall with a fireplace. The best part: the bookshelves open up to a Murphy bed, so there's room for overflow guests.
We turned a 2 bedroom condo into a 3 bedroom. More storage, more sleeping space, and a higher value for the condo.
Custom glass can be part of your project too. These pieces were made in Louisville, Kentucky.
The larger piece, a fleur-de-lis, was designed for a customer who moved from Louisville to Jeffersonville, Indiana. We brought a little of their old home into their new one.
Customization is what we're good at. These stairs had dated tempered glass rails with bleached stained rails.
We added modern posts with cable railing and restained every tread a darker color to match the new oak flooring we installed throughout.
This kitchen was stuck in the 70s. We moved walls to open it into the dining and family room, which also gave the customer an unobstructed view of the Ohio River.
We added walls for a good-sized walk-in pantry. The cabinets are all custom built with quartz tops, and the kitchenette was custom built and attached to the cabinets. Note the pot filler above the gas cooktop.
Along with roofing, we have 27 years of remodeling experience. This bathroom in Jeffersonville, Indiana had a pink whirlpool tub surrounded by mirrors, old brass fixtures, and Hollywood-style lighting.
We reconfigured the layout for a larger, private shower, his and hers vanities with quartz tops, and mirrors with built-in touch lighting. We finished it with a stone accent wall, a fireplace, and a slipper tub.
A high-end master bath remodel in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. We gutted it completely.
The customer supplied industrial-style metal vanity cabinets, and we installed quartz countertops plus natural stone, glass, and metal tile throughout. The shower uses old-school exposed fixtures, and the toilet has a wooden tank up high with a pull chain.
The clawfoot tub is true cast iron. It took four of us to carry it to the second floor. We also installed two stained glass Pella windows for natural light.
This front door in Louisville, Kentucky had no cover, so the wood faded in the sun and rain leaked into the home.
We built a covered porch to fix the problem and add curb appeal: solid 10 inch cedar posts and accents, a rustic tongue and groove ceiling, and stone column bases with limestone caps.
According to the customer and his neighbors, it looks like it's been there since day one.
Another high-end bath remodel in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. This one had a mauve corner jacuzzi tub, so we gutted it completely.
We installed a heavy cast iron farmhouse sink, which meant pre-installing lag bolts in the framing to hang it, and getting the in-wall plumbing exact. We added a shower with exposed old-school fixtures and black and white hexagon tile floors.
With a busy schedule, time is important to me. Bill and his crew were very prompt and never had me waiting, whether it was the appraisal or the day they started the job. I would highly recommend Turnkey Builders for any job you need done!

Bill and Rob were amazing to work with from start to finish. They even worked with my insurance adjuster. My roof was fully covered due to wind damage, looks amazing, and they cleaned up as if they had never been there.
Communication, professionalism, and quality were all top notch. We were able to replace our roof at the cost of our insurance company, and the job was finished quickly. Thank you Bill, Rob, and the roofers!
